The City in the Middle of the Forest
That’s Atlanta. Have you ever looked at aerial views of the city and noticed all of the greenery in the midst of the buildings and homes. Yeah well, that’s actually buildings and homes on top of a lush forest. If you leave a patch of dirt alone, it will soon become overgrown with shrubbery, and baby trees ready to grow into huge oaks and tall pines.
The warm weather, growing economy and affordable housing prices is a huge draw, and the City of Atlanta is projected to more than double its current population by almost 40% by 2030. The cranes in the sky all around the city indicate preparation for all the newcomers.

The Atlanta Beltline is currently the largest urban development project in the entire nation. This endeavor has been underway and in the workings for over the past 20 years, and probably has at least another 20 years to completion. It is the uncovering and repaving of a corridor of old train lines that circles the heart of Atlanta.
The goal is to connect multiple Atlanta neighborhoods with a multi-use trail. Residential and commercial development has sprawled all along the Beltline changing neighborhoods in a remarkable way. There is so much more to learn about this huge project and how it can affect real estate values.

“Desiree made sure we understood the process of buying a home. Being attentive to our needs and knowing what questions to ask, even if we didn't are signs of a great agent. Desiree was always available to answer any questions we had and/or provide clarity. If you're in the market to buy or sell a home, definitely consider Desiree as your Real Estate agent. We sure will.”
